Editorial policy

How we report, review, and correct

Every published claim should be useful, attributable, and current enough for the decision it supports. Rankings and recommendations cannot be purchased.

01

Reviews and rankings

Coverage is selected for reader relevance. Vendors cannot buy a profile, score, or position. Products made by our publisher are clearly labeled and must include meaningful tradeoffs.

02

Verification

Competitor facts come from current vendor pages, documentation, demonstrations, or hands-on accounts. IRS facts should cite IRS.gov. Unverified prices are not published as current facts.

03

Maintenance schedule

Pricing is checked monthly when evidence is available. Flagship rankings receive a quarterly editorial review. Product-launch claims require direct verification before publication.

04

Updates and corrections

Material pricing, ranking, methodology, and product-claim changes are recorded in Editorial Updates. Send a source and page URL to the editorial team; accepted corrections update the affected page and review date.

05

Outbound and referral links

Ordinary external links use no referral parameter. If a tracked or compensated link is used later, it will be marked and disclosed. Compensation never determines coverage, scores, or ranking order.

06

AI assistance

Drafts may be assisted by software. Every published page is reviewed, edited, and owned by the named human author, who remains responsible for accuracy and the final recommendation.
